6.3.5 Recipients

Processors such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 – Sales (CRM) and Hubspot, Inc. are used. All service providers are contractually obliged to treat your data confidentially.

6.3.6 Third country transfer

We store and process your data in HubSpot, Inc. and in Microsoft Dynamics 365 – Sales (CRM)

Although personal data is primarily stored and processed in Europe, both Microsoft and HubSpot, Inc. are located in the USA, so certain storage and processing may continue outside of the location, including in the USA. As a guarantee for the transfer to the USA, we have concluded standard contractual clauses of the European Commission with Microsoft and HubSpot, Inc.

6.4 GOOGLE ADS

6.4.1 Type and purpose of processing

We use Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising program of Google LLC. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google Ads enables us to display advertisements in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when the user enters certain search terms into Google (keyword targeting). Furthermore, targeted advertisements can be displayed based on the user data available at Google (e.g. location data and interests) (target group targeting). As the website operator, we can evaluate this data quantitatively by analyzing, for example, which search terms led to the display of our ads and how many ads led to corresponding clicks.

In addition, Google Ads also uses web beacons, invisible graphics that enable Google to analyze clicks on this website, traffic on this website and similar information. As a result, an individual cookie, i.e. a small file, is stored on the website user’s device.

The following information is stored in this file:

  • which websites the user has visited, what content they are interested in
  • which offers the user has clicked on
  • technical information about the browser and operating system
  • referring websites
  • time of visit
  • Information on the use of the online offer

We also receive an individual “conversion cookie”. The information obtained with the help of the cookie is used by Google to create conversion statistics for us. However, we only learn the anonymous total number of users who clicked on our ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. No data is collected that can be used to identify individual website visitors. User data is processed pseudonymously within the Google advertising network. This means that Google does not store and process the user’s name or email address, for example, but processes the relevant data in relation to cookies within pseudonymous user profiles. This means that, from Google’s perspective, the ads are not managed and displayed for a specifically identified person, but for the cookie owner, regardless of who this cookie owner is.

6.4.2. Legal basis

The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

6.4.3 Storage period

The information collected by the cookie is stored for 3 months.

6.2.4 Provision prescribed or required

The provision of your personal data is voluntary, solely on the basis of your consent.

You can revoke your consent at any time under 5.4.0.

6.2.5 Recipients

Our website is maintained by service providers who act as our processors. All service providers are contractually obliged to treat your data confidentially.

6.2.6 Third country transfer

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. For the USA, there is an adequacy decision by the European Commission for companies that are certified under the Data Privacy Framework. Google is certified but does not rely on this framework. We have concluded so-called standard contractual clauses with Google LLC.

6.5 MICROSOFT ADVERTISING (BING ADS)

6.5.1Type and purpose of processing

We use Microsoft Advertising and the associated conversion tracking. Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) is an online advertising program of Microsoft Corporation, (One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA). For the European region, the Irish company headquarters Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland is responsible for data protection aspects.

Microsoft Advertising enables us to display advertisements in the Bing search engine or on third-party websites when the user enters certain search terms in Bing (keyword targeting). Furthermore, targeted advertisements can be displayed based on the user data available at Bing (e.g. location data and interests) (target group targeting). As the website operator, we can evaluate this data quantitatively by analyzing, for example, which search terms led to the display of our advertisements and how many advertisements led to corresponding clicks.

We have integrated a conversion tracking tag (code snippet) from Microsoft Advertising on our website. The Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag. With the help of this tracking tool, we find out, for example, which keyword or which advertisement brought you to our website. The data collected relates exclusively to the evaluation of your user behavior, not to personal data that could reveal your identity.

If you have a Microsoft account and are logged in, Microsoft may link the data collected to your account. It is therefore possible that Microsoft will assign and store your IP address. For this purpose, cookies are set in your browser if you have come to our website via a Microsoft Advertising ad. If you visit certain subpages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Microsoft can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page. Each Microsoft Advertising customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Microsoft Advertising customers. The information collected using conversion cookies is only used to create conversion statistics.

You can find more information about data processing by Microsoft in the Microsoft data protection information:

https://privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement?tid=331668528662

6.5.2 Legal basis

The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

6.5.3 Storage period

The information collected by the cookie is stored for 13 months.

6.5.4 Recipient of the data

Our website is maintained by service providers who act as our processors. All service providers are contractually obliged to treat your data confidentially.

6.5.5 Provision prescribed or required

The provision of your personal data is voluntary, solely on the basis of your consent.

6.5.6 Revocation of consent

Under 3. COOKIE SETTINGS, Edit cookie settings, you can revoke your consent at any time for the future.

If you do not want advertisements from Microsoft Advertising to be displayed to you, you can prevent this by following the instructions here:

https://account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings/signedout

You can also deactivate the automatic setting of cookies via browser settings and delete individual cookies or the entire cookie inventory of your browser. This works differently for most browsers.

Under point 5.4.2 Technical information on deleting cookies, you will find the instructions depending on the provider of your browser.

6.5.7 Third country transfer

Data processing in the USA as a third country cannot be ruled out. The EU Commission has issued an adequacy decision for the USA, which is effective for companies certified in accordance with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. A list of certified companies can be found here. Microsoft Corporation is certified under the Framework and bases its data transfer to the USA on the adequacy decision. A list of certified companies can be found here.
